I wanted to take a break from discussing mortgage rates today to briefly emphasize the value of working with the right loan officer to close your loan. This can be harder than you might think - there are so many loan officers vying for your business that it might be overwhelming at first. Of course make low rates your priority, but working with a good loan officer can be the difference between a speedy and transparent loan process, and one rife with issues. For one, the wrong loan officer could take down your information innacurately, lose track of crucial documents, or take longer to get back to you than you’d like. As borrowers know, when you want to jump on low rates to secure your dream home, you don’t want to wait!
I encourage you to find out all you can about a given loan officer (and mortgage company, of course) to make sure they won’t let you down.
At Prospect Financial Group, we’ve recently begun a series called “Loan Officer Spotlight” - where we highlight our loan officers one-by-one. This will allow anyone out there to get a feel for their personality type and philosophy within the mortgage industry. The first in this series features our Senior Loan Officer, Jessie Beckett! You can check it out here.
If Jessie seems like the kind of loan officer for you, go ahead and apply for a loan with her here: https://www.prospecthomefinance.com/jbeckett/. We look forward to assisting you however we can!
